Alongside an exceptional coaching staff, he is committed to ensuring every player leaves EDGE not only a better hockey player—but a stronger, more confident person.

Colin Greening
Coach
Colin Greening brings elite, real-world hockey experience and a proven development mindset to EDGE GDP. Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 7th round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Greening followed a disciplined development path through NCAA hockey at Cornell University, where he played four full seasons without missing a game and served as team captain in both his junior and senior years. Known for his consistency, leadership, and hockey IQ, he competed alongside future NHL players and earned membership in Cornell’s prestigious Quill and Dagger society.
After graduating in 2010, Greening advanced through the AHL with the Binghamton Senators before making his NHL debut in 2011. He went on to play multiple seasons in the NHL with Ottawa and the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording a 17-goal rookie season while playing all 82 games and earning selection to the NHL YoungStars Game. His career also included AHL success and international professional experience in Europe, giving him firsthand exposure to every major development environment in hockey.
At EDGE GDP, Greening applies lessons learned across NCAA, AHL, NHL, and international play to help athletes understand what truly translates to the next level. His coaching emphasizes habits that scale—attention to detail, durability, competitiveness, and accountability—preparing players not just to improve, but to sustain performance as the game gets faster and more demanding.

Jon Cronin
Coach
Jon lives in Gray with his wife, Ashley, and their two kids, Charlie (8) and Camden (6). Hockey has been a constant in Jon’s life from the very beginning. He grew up in the Casco Bay program, went on to play four years of varsity hockey for Falmouth, and later gave back to the game by coaching the Falmouth Middle School team. Today, you can still find Jon on the ice competing in men’s league with the Portland Fire Hockey Club—proof that once hockey gets in your blood, it never really leaves.
Jon brings the same energy to our organization that he brings to the rink: hardworking, positive, and relentlessly team-first. He values effort, accountability, and having fun while doing the work—because the best teams are built on commitment and camaraderie. Whether he’s supporting players, families, or fellow volunteers, Jon leads by example and helps make our community stronger both on and off the ice.

Chris brings more than two decades of coaching, leadership, and grassroots hockey development experience to the rink. He has coached in the Portland Middle School hockey program since 2002, serving in JV and Varsity roles and helping shape the City Team program from the ground up. Beyond school hockey, Chris has coached with Casco Bay at multiple age levels, including Girls U12 and U14 teams, and currently serves as Head Coach. A lifelong player, Chris began skating at age five in the Casco Bay Hockey Association, later playing four years of varsity hockey at Deering High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Plymouth State University while launching his coaching career. USA Hockey Level 4 certified with age-specific modules at U10, U12, and U14, Chris also directs Power Skating clinics in Portland—continuing a role he assumed in 2016 after years of assisting as a clinic instructor. Andrew Page
Coach
Andrew grew up playing competitive hockey throughout Southern New England. He competed at a high level, earning multiple medals at the Connecticut State Games and All-State Games. Andrew played four years of varsity hockey at East Catholic High School and was part of a team that helped establish the program as a consistent contender at the state level, highlighted by a run to the semifinals during his senior year.
After taking a break from the game due to injury, Andrew returned to hockey through coaching and player development as his children started skating. His coaching approach emphasizes strong skating fundamentals, with a special focus on edge control, balance, and body awareness. Andrew believes that confidence on skates without a stick is the foundation of high-level hockey and is essential for both skill development and injury prevention, especially as players grow and the game becomes faster and more physical.
Outside of hockey, Andrew is a nationally competitive endurance athlete with over a decade of experience, primarily in cycling, as well as in marathons and other endurance events. This background informs his approach to conditioning, recovery, and age-appropriate nutrition. Andrew collaborates with athletes and families to help them better understand fueling, energy management, and recovery habits that support ongoing performance, long-term development, and a healthy relationship with sport. He lives in Cumberland, Maine, with his wife Amy and their two children, Tuuli and Aalto, and he is passionate about creating positive, supportive environments through youth athletics.
